The problem
A guide sells a day outdoors, and a day outdoors changes with the season. A single fixed hero could only ever show one of the four things he sells.
The move
The home page is a stack of pinned chapters with real-image caps, and four scroll-controlled seasons move the whole landscape from green through gold to snow.
Recomposed, not squeezed
On a phone
Mobile is laid out for the screen it is on rather than folded down from the desktop grid. Heavy effects are capped or off, and every piece of content stays reachable when they are.
